Instead of focusing on what's wrong in the world, try living what's right.

When I encounter people in my daily life, I sometimes feel disheartened by those who, rather than being kind and understanding, come across as condescending or judgmental. It’s challenging to see those in positions of power or those who are supposed to be leaders falling short of being good examples. These interactions can leave me feeling frustrated and hesitant to engage further. But I remind myself that everyone has their own struggles and imperfections, and encountering spiritually, emotionally, or mentally troubled individuals is part of the human experience.

To counteract this negativity, I focus on living in a way that reflects how I’d like to be treated. I remind myself of the question, “What would Jesus do?” Would He question my worth or judge my struggles? I believe He would meet me with compassion and understanding, showing how to be a true example of kindness and respect.

By adopting this perspective, I strive to offer others the empathy and consideration that I wish to receive. Recognizing that we will always run into people who are struggling in various ways helps me approach these interactions with patience and compassion. This mindset allows me to be a positive influence and a source of light in a world where everyone is navigating their own challenges.
